For one month in 2016, Jill and Scott exchanged emails and texts. Lots of them.

They didn't know where this was heading, so they talked about everything.

It was intimate. It was funny. At times, it was uncomfortable.

More than anything, it was real.

They shared about spirituality, past relationships, old wounds and landmines—including sex. Plus fear, attraction, boundaries, mutuality, work, and what it means to be honest with another person when the stakes keep getting higher.

They weren't trying to write a book. They were trying to express themselves—to see what it might look like to bring their inner work out into relationship.

They questioned themselves and challenged each other. Occasionally, they got things wrong. Still, they kept talking.

What you get is something unusual: a front-row seat to two people practicing what they believe while they're still trying to figure it out. It's Jill and Scott walking the walk, not just talking the talk.

About the Authors of Од речи до речи

Џил Лори и Скот Вислер are longtime students of the Pathwork teachings who met in 2016 and discovered an unexpected willingness to explore the deeper questions of life—and each other—through words.

Jill began studying the teachings of the Pathwork Guide in 1997 and went on to complete four years of training to become a certified Pathwork Helper. Her corporate career spanned marketing communications, marketing, and sales, built on the unusual combination of a degree in chemistry and a flair for writing.

In 2014, she left the corporate world and founded Phoenesse, where she writes and teaches about personal transformation through the spiritual psychology of the Pathwork Guide.

Like Jill, Scott was raised in the Midwest. He found the Pathwork teachings in 1999 and dove in headfirst. Educated in aerospace and mechanical engineering, he spent his professional career building engines that spin fast and make lots of power.

In 2021, Scott left his corporate engineering career to join Jill full-time at Phoenesse.

Both had spent decades doing their own inner work before they met. In the correspondence collected in Од речи до речи, they discovered what happens when two people bring that work directly into a developing relationship—with honesty, humor, vulnerability, and very little pretense.

Jill and Scott married in 2019 and now work together to bring the Pathwork Guide's teachings into the world. They live in New York, where they enjoy hiking, skiing, and the very real pleasures of sharing a life.
